The Direct Answer
You do not need to be home for a window clean. As long as we can get through the side gate to reach the back of the house, we do the whole property and message you once it is done. The only real requirement is access: an unlocked gate, or a key left somewhere we have agreed, and anything blocking a window on the inside moved out of the way if you want that pane done properly.
What we actually need
- Side gate access. If it is locked and we cannot get through, the back of the house gets skipped that visit, which nobody wants.
- A text a week before. We send this automatically so you can unlock the gate, move the car, or tell us you are away.
- Clear sills where possible. Pot plants and ornaments on a windowsill get worked around, but a clear sill gets a better clean.
- Dogs secured. For everyone's sake, including the dog's.
What happens if you are not in
Nothing changes. We clean every window we can reach from outside, frames and sills included, and message you a photo or a note once it is finished. Payment happens after, by card at the door if you are in, or a payment link if you are not.
What if a window is inaccessible
A locked gate, a blocked side passage, or scaffolding next door sometimes means one elevation has to wait for next time. We tell you which window was missed and why, rather than pretending it was done.
Can I leave specific instructions?
Yes. A WhatsApp message with anything unusual, a window that sticks, a part of the garden to avoid, a gate code, sits on the job notes for every future visit.
FAQ: Do you need a key?
Only if the side gate is locked and there is no other way round. Most houses just leave the gate unlocked on the day we text about.
FAQ: What if I forget you are coming?
The text a week before and again the morning of is there precisely so this does not happen, but if a gate is locked on the day we simply note it and catch that side next visit.
